- The best places to start learning sailing, looking at Start Yachting, Competent Crew, and Day Skipper courses, shall be awarded to Malta and Cyprus, as they are attractive in terms of price. Also the calm sea conditions make sailing a much easier and accessible activity.
- Croatia is the cheapest place to learn Day Skipper Theory, plus the ideal weather and infrastructure for sailing, it can be quite interesting to do both DS Theory and Day Skipper Practical at same time in Croatia.
- Canary island is really a great place for those aspiring skippers that want to level up to yachtmaster, given its strong wind acrossing channel and tough sea condition for coastal skipper course and mile building. Quality training and YM preparation exam are provided by some well established sailing schools.
- France is the most expensive country to get RYA certificates. Also most French sailing schools focus on motorboat training, instead of sail cruising.
